Purple Pocket Rocket (a member of the Delectibilus Exquisitis family) stands approx 18 cm high (foot to top of tail feather) & 13 cm ( from beak to curls). This bird loves to fly at extreme speeds and brightly coloured blurs can sometimes be spotted in the wild. A bit of a show-off the PP Rocket often attempts immediate stops, aided by its short upright tail feathers, and having perfected a wide legged stance. Having an inquisitive nature (read nosey) the Purple Pocket Rocket can also maintain absolute stillness( hoping you don't notice it) when required.

 

Okay, imagination aside:  lovingly created with great attention to detail  by a very talented local artist under the Karrot Juice label. This gorgeous little bird is a one of a kind edition.

 

Construction: Papier mache ( body), hand cut & curled archival quality double sided decorative papers (wings and tail), glass beads (eyes), hand wrapped wire (legs) and painted with artist quality water-based paints. Stands alone.
